Records fall as WMU Golf takes third at the Cardinal Classic

YORKTOWN, Ind. – Program records fell as the Western Michigan golf team took third overall and senior Kaitlyn Watkins finished in second place at the Ball State Cardinal Classic at The Players Club golf course on Tuesday.

Kaitlyn Watkins broke the individual 54-hole program low.

Watkins broke the program's 54-hole record by shooting a 214 to finish -2 and just three shots from first place. The team also broke the 54-hole record by shooting a combined 885. The previous team-low record was 887 set by the 2010 squad at the Pat Bradley Invitational.
