KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association on Wednesday announced its women's volleyball All-American teams with Western Michigan volleyball's Rachel Bontrager earning AVCA All-American Honorable Mention.
Bontrager becomes just the sixth player in school history to earn All-American honors and the first since Lise Martin back in 1987. Earlier in April Bontrager was named AVCA Midwest All-Region, just the fourth player in school history to earn all-region honors.
During her senior campaign Bontrager led the Mid-American Conference with 4.62 kills per set en route to being named MAC Player of the Year, the first for the Broncos since 2000.
