ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up the Grand Valley State Snowdown Showdown with one event win and eight finishes in the top five on Friday at the Kelly Family Sports Center.
Earning the win on the day was Maggie Raab in the 800-meter run. Raab ran a personal-best time of 2:17.77 to pick up her first collegiate win. Junior Claira Gilchrist finished in sixth place after running a time of 2:28.34.
Freshman sprinter Azariah McGee-Granthman had two top-five finishes. She took third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.
