KALAMAZOO, MI — The last time the Mid-American Conference got a nod from ESPN's "College GameDay" show, Western Michigan football coach P.J. Fleck was there.
It was 2003 and Fleck's No. 12-ranked Northern Illinois Huskies were taking on Bowling Green.
"I do remember the 'GameDay' atmosphere," Fleck said. "I do remember how crazy it was and how packed the stadium was, and it was wonderful to see that at a Mid-American Conference school. Not only do I want to see what was at Bowling Green, I think it'll be way bigger because 'GameDay' is bigger and more people know about 'GameDay' now that it's (13 years) later.
