BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Western Michigan head football coach P.J. Fleck crossed another “Never” off his bucket list on Friday when he was able to fly with the Air Force in a Thunderbird at the Western Michigan College of Aviation.
“I did this for our football team,” Fleck said. “I want them to have a bucket list and to always have dreams and goals. The harder you work, the more opportunities you’re going to get and that bucket list is very important to me.”
Fleck’s day in Battle Creek began at 1 p.m., three hours before his plane departed as he went over a series of briefings with Air Force personnel including safety, medical, and the flight plan with the pilot, Scott, that was with him during his journey.
