CLEVELAND, Ohio – Western Michigan's Payton Murphy has been named First Team All-Mid-American Conference on floor by the league on Tuesday.
Murphy led the MAC with a National Qualifying Score of 9.940 on floor. Five times on the season, the fifth-year senior has posted a score of at least 9.900 and has won the event seven times. The past two meets against Kent State and at Central Michigan she has tied the school record on floor after scoring a 9.975. She's now tied the record three times in her career.
Murphy adds to her legacy at WMU with her fourth All-MAC section and third First Team honors, a program record since All-MAC was established a regular season award back in 2013.
