CLEVELAND -- The Western Michigan women's tennis duo of freshmen Sienna Osborne and Frida Weijerman have been named the Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week.
Osborne and Weijerman went 2-0 on the weekend as the Broncos split Valparaiso and Michigan State. In the match win over the Beacons, the pair secured the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No. 2 over Valpo's Brynn Steven and Lacey Tanner. They then helped the Broncos clinch the doubles point in the 4-1 loss at MSU. Once again they were the deciding factor, picking up a 6-4 win over the Spartans' Natalie Stasny and Issey Purser.
