CLEVELAND - Jannik Opitz and Kennosuke Nouchi were named the Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week for men's tennis, as announced on Wednesday.
Opitz and Nouchi went 2-0 at #1 doubles on Sunday, as the Broncos defeated Butler and Illinois Chicago. They beat Thomas Brennan and Olof Wiklund from the Bulldogs 6-4, and Johan Hedstrom and Kasper Parlklo of the Flames 6-2. This marks the fourth time that they have received MAC Doubles Team of the Week honors dating back to the 2018 season. Jannik has earned this award eight total times with four different partners, while Kennosuke has achieved it six times during his career between two partners.
