KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan baseball team honored its five seniors Sunday afternoon against Ohio at Hyames Field, but the Bobcats spoiled the Broncos final home game of the season with a 7-5 win over WMU to avoid the sweep.
The Broncos fall to 17-29 overall and 10-11 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC), but have won their last four MAC series as they won games one and two this weekend. The Bobcats improved to 22-27 overall and 7-14 in the MAC, but were eliminated from the MAC Tournament field as Central Michigan defeated Miami earlier in the day.
