The Western Michigan hockey team roared back to their winning ways this weekend.
After suffering a sweep against the No. 1-ranked St. Cloud State last weekend, the No. 13-ranked Broncos pulled off a sweep of their own with 3-1 and 5-1 victories over No. 4 Denver.
A huge first period from the Broncos on Saturday saw them jump out to a 3-0 lead and they never looked back. Josh Passolt, Paul Washe and Drew Worrad all potted goals in the first.
Passolt's power play goal was his team-leading 15th goal of the year.
