This past week was a big one for the seven Division I college hockey teams in Michigan.
There is another large shake-up in the updated power rankings, including a new No. 1.
Every week, MLive will rank all seven teams, provide their latest results and look ahead to their next opponents.
Two in-state teams cracked the U.S. College Hockey Online top 20 this week, while one team dropped out.
Here are MLive’s third rankings of the season.
Record: 2-6-2 (1-2-1 WCHA)
Last week’s ranking: 7th
Last weekend’s results: Split with Alaska Anchorage, winning 3-2 in overtime on Friday and losing 4-1 on Saturday
Highlights: Max Humitz’s team-leading fifth goal of the season gave the Lakers a 3-2 victory in overtime on Friday, but Anchorage scored three third-period goals on Saturday to earn a split.
