The eighth-ranked Western Michigan hockey team has a flair for the dramatic.
The Broncos were involved in a back-and-forth battle with Nebraska-Omaha on Friday night, which resulted in a 4-3 win after Nebraska native Ethen Frank buried the game-winning goal with just under 14 seconds to go. Making it the second time this season the Broncos scored the go ahead goal with less than 15 seconds remaining, thus improving their record to 16-8-1 overall and 9-5-1 in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
Omaha jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Mason Morelli scored his 15th goal of the year just four minutes into the game.
