The largest move was made by the Golden State Warriors, who signed former league Most Valuable Player, Kevin Durant to a two year, $54.5 million contract, effectively making the Warriors a super team. Last season saw the Warriors set the record for most wins in a regular season, posting a 73-9 record. However, they will only be a footnote in history as they blew a three games to one lead against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA finals, losing the series in seven games.
Durant will join two-time reigning MVP Steph Curry, as well as all-stars Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, making what some people are calling the “core four”.
