CLEVELAND – Western Michigan's Payton Murphy has been named the Mid-American Conference Co-Gymnast of the Week for her performance in WMU's win at George Washington on Friday.
For the second time this season, Murphy broke her own school record in the all-around after she posted a score of 39.525. Her mark also places her at the top of the Mid-American Conference. The senior tied for first place on beam with a 9.900 and on floor with a 9.925. Her score of 9.850 on bars helped the Broncos set a new team record of 49.
