MUNCIE, Ind. – Western Michigan head coach Colleen Munson became the winningest coach in the history of the WMU volleyball program on Sunday as the fourth-seeded Broncos knocked off fifth-seed Toledo 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-19) in the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference Championship on Sunday. With Sunday's victory, WMU advances to face top seed Ball State on Monday at 4:30 pm in the semifinals.
Munson's victory was her 332nd at the helm of Western Michigan. In her 17 seasons with the Broncos, Munson is 332-206 (.617). Sunday's win broke a tie with Rob Buck, who steered WMU to a 331-179 mark between 1978-93.
