LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following a 31-3 season, Western Michigan head coach Colleen Munson has been named the AVCA Midwest Region Coach of the Year. Additionally, WMU senior setter Logan Case has been selected to the AVCA Midwest All-Region First Team.
The 2023 campaign was an historic one for the Broncos, as Munson's squad compiled a 31-3 record, the program's first 30-win season since 1983. Western Michigan won the MAC Regular Season title after going 18-0 in league play, becoming the first team to go undefeated in conference matches since 2006, and the first to go 18-0 in the MAC since 1993.
