NEWTON, Kan. – Western Michigan golf coach Kim Moore opens the third annual U.S. Adaptive Open, a championship that showcases the world's best golfers with disabilities, at Sand Creek Station golf course on Monday.
Moore qualified as one of 96 players, which represent 32 stats and 11 countries. She won the first-ever U.S. Adaptive Open back in 2022, played at the historic No. 6 Golf Course at Pinehurst, and finished as the runner-up last summer. Moore was born without a right foot and a slight case of spina bifida.
This year's tournament will administer a cut for the first time.
