Michael Flowers Named MAC West Player of the Week

CLEVELAND – After registering 29 points per game this past week the Mid-American Conference announced on Monday that Western Michigan men's basketball junior guard Michael Flowers has been named MAC West Player of the Week.

Leading the Broncos to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2014, Flowers averaged 29 points per game while shooting a staggering 53.3 percent from the field and 73.3 percent from behind the three-point line. Flowers was also an impressive 15-of-16 from the free-throw line in the two contests.

In the season opener against McNeese State, Flowers poured in a game-high 24 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field along with three assists and three steals.
