RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team opened its fall season on the clay courts of the River Forest Tennis Club at Northern Illinois' River Forest Collegiate Invitational over the weekend.
WMU saw success in both doubles and singles, but the finals of the singles draws went unfinished due to weather issues.
Senior Jackson Boone and freshman Drew Evans went 3-0 as a pair in the No. 2 Doubles Draw. The duo opened up with a 6-4 win over Cleveland State's Alves and Siercke. In the second round, they defeated Washington University's Fox and Henri Ohl, 6-2.
