Men's Tennis Tests No. 14 MIchigan State in 5-2 Loss

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a 5-2 loss at No. 14 Michigan on Friday night.

The Broncos (10-6) started off strong by taking the doubles point from the Wolverines. WMU's and dismantled the 70th-ranked team of Benjamin Kittay and Patron Hanchaikul at No. 1, 6-1, to give the Broncos the early advantage. WMU secured the doubles point with and winning at No. 3, 7-5. The No. 2 doubles battle of Western Michigan's and went unfinished deadlocked with UM's Will Cooksey and Alex Cairo, 6-6.
