Men's Tennis Sweeps Singles on Day One of Rocket Invitational

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Western Michigan men's tennis team swept their singles matches on Friday at the Toledo Rocket Invitational, day one of the three-day tournament.

Sophomore Eric Olivarez along with freshmen Kennosuke Nouchi and Jannik Opitz all stayed unbeaten on the young season at 4-0 with singles wins over players from Youngstown State. Sophomore Nick Schnobel and Kris Knof also earned wins on Friday, both improving to 3-1 this season.

In doubles play, the team of Schnobel/Billy Heckman moved to 4-0 this season with an 8-7 (4) win over Garreto/Dahan of Youngstown State and earned their second win of the day over Koscielski/Conley of Detroit while Olivarez/Knof improved to 3-1 with an 8-4 win over Tolesani/Uirgici of Youngstown State.
