Men's Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team; Five Individuals Named Scholar Athletes

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men’s tennis team was named an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) while five individuals were named Scholar Athletes in Andrew Cahn, Ruben Greiner, Matt Hamilton, Daniel Loebel and Eric Olivarez. In order to become an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a player must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.50 over the course of the season.

This is the 16th time WMU has won the honor, and the 11th time in the last 12 years under head coach Dave Morin.

“Our guys did a fantastic job this year both in the classroom and on the court,” Morin said.
