CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team heads into the third day of competition at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regionals at the University of Illinois on Saturday.
The Broncos kicked things off on Thursday with the singles qualifying draw. Jackson Boone picked up an opening-round win over Guy Dagan from Northern Illinois 6-2, 6-1. Advancing to the Round of 32 he then defeated Kade Mindry from Cleveland State 7-5, 6-4 to advance to Friday. Ferdinand Schlueter was also in action, falling to Illinois-Chicago's Gustave Schwebel 6-4, 6-2.
Boone opened Friday's singles action falling to Mattias Olivero from Toledo in three sets 5-7, 6-3, 4-6.
