KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team opened its 2019 fall competition schedule at the River Forest Invite, which was hosted by Northern Illinois University. WMU and NIU players were joined by student-athletes from Green Bay, St. Louis, Valparaiso, Illinois State, Youngstown State and Illinois Chicago. Play consisted of six flights of singles and three flights of doubles with no team scores being kept.
The Broncos demonstrated the strongest performance of the eight participating schools, winning five of the nine flights at the River Forest Tennis Club.
At #1 singles, sophomore Peter Kuszynski went 3-0 to take home the individual championship.
