Men's Tennis Falls to Buffalo, Rebounds With Win Over Toledo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team opened Mid-American Conference play falling to Buffalo, 4-3, and dispatching of Toledo, 4-3.

The Broncos hosted the Bulls indoors at Sorensen Court and the match came down to a tie-breaker at No. 3 singles between WMU's Brogan Pierce and Clement Mainguy. Mainguy won the first set 6-2 but Pierce battled back to take the second set 6-4. The two battled back and forth in the third set until it was tied at 6-6 and entered a tie-breaker. Each player had the advantage during the tie-breaker but Mainguy came out the victor at 12-10.
