BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team suffered its first Mid-American Conference loss of the season, falling 4-3 at Buffalo on Friday.
The doubles point went down to the wire. The Bulls took the early advantage with a 6-0 win at No. 3 before Peter Kuszynski and Ferdinand Schlueter tied it up with a 6-4 win at No. 1. The point came down to the No. 2 battle of Anton Arzhankin and Arjun Honnappa against Daniils Snaiders and Aleksandr Kalinin. The match went to a tie-breaker, with the Bulls prevailing 11-9 for the 7-6 win.
