KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men’s tennis team added a junior college transfer today as Kristofer Knof will be joining the Broncos starting in the 2016-17 season.
Knof, a native of Cologne, Germany, will be transferring to WMU from junior college ASA Miami (Fla.) after playing one season for the Avengers. Knof enters with a Universal Tennis Rating of 12.28 and helped his team stay atop the Oracle/ITA NJCAA Men’s National Team Rankings for all of last season.
“We’ve had quite a bit of success from the German recruits here at WMU,” Head coach Dave Morin said, referring to Daniel Loebel and Ruben Greiner among others.
