UNITED STATES -- On Tuesday, October 3, the NCAA announced that the Western Michigan men's soccer team was named the NCAA Team of the Week.
The Brown and Gold captured two 1-0 shutout road victories against Wright State and #20 UIC last week, en route to their first NCAA Team of the Week honor this season. Overall, WMU is 7-1-2 and is riding a nine-game unbeaten streak, which started on Sunday, August 27, after a 3-1 win over Utah Valley University.
On the offensive front, Western Michigan has been led by Dylan Sing and Charlie Sharp, whom have combined for 14 goals this season.
