KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's soccer team heads east to Detroit Mercy (1-4-4) on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.

The Broncos (8-1, 3-0 MAC) competed against Bowling Green State University and Chicago State University last week. WMU started the week with a 1-0 win against BGSU on the road. Scoreless at halftime, Western Michigan's lone goal came from senior midfielder, Eric Conerty in the 66th minute. Conerty's goal in the BGSU match along with his goal and assist in the prior matchup against Northern Illinois University, named him to the CollegeSoccerNews and TopDrawerSoccer Men's National Team of the Week.
