KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's soccer team picked up its first Mid-American Conference victory on Sunday afternoon at the WMU Soccer Complex, defeating West Virginia 1-0.
Dylan Sing scored the game-winner and his first of the season for the Broncos, while redshirt sophomore Isaac Walker made four saves, two coming in the final minutes, to earn his second shutout of the season.
"That's a very big result for us," said head coach Chad Wiseman. "It's a six-point swing and is exactly what we needed. If we went in an 0-2 hole in MAC play it would be very difficult to climb out of.
