Western Michigan (11-5-1, 2-1-1 MAC) earned their second straight shutout, defeating Bowling Green 1-0 to earn their second win in the conference. The Broncos continue their hot streak as the season whines down, winning seven of their last nine games.
It was a very defensive matchup with both programs recording only two shots on goal. However, the lone goal came thanks to Anthony Bowie who scored his sixth goal of the season. In the 35th minute, Bowie worked his way into the box and drilled his shot past the Falcon goalkeeper.
"We took advantage of our best chance in the first half with Bowie smashing one in," head coach Chad Wiseman said via press release.
