ORLANDO -- For the third straight week, the Western Michigan men's soccer team has improved its positioning in the United Soccer Coaches poll. On Tuesday, the Brown and Gold jumped to a season-best 16th rank to close out the 2023 regular season.
Last week on Wednesday, November 1, the Brown and Gold concluded the regular season on the road with a 2-0 victory over Bradley. The victory clinched the men's soccer team's first outright Missouri Valley Conference championship, in their debut season in the conference. During the contest, Roni Sylejmani scored his first career goal and Tom Cooklin scored his fourth goal in five contests en route to WMU's 16th straight game without a loss.
