UNITED STATES -- For the second consecutive week, the Western Michigan men's soccer team improved its positioning in TopDrawerSoccer's national rankings. After a 2-1 road victory over Missouri Valley Conference foe Northern Illinois University on Saturday, October 12, the Brown and Gold jumped to #13 in TopDrawerSoccer's Week 9 rankings.
With the men's soccer team's 2-1 road victory over NIU, the Brown and Gold secured their 24th consecutive game in which they limited opponents to one goal or fewer. In the win, sophomore defender Braxton Arpachinda and junior midfielder Ronan Wilcox supplied the two goals for WMU, with Arpachinda netting his second goal of the season and Wilcox scoring his first collegiate goal.
