KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan men's assistant soccer coach Shane Lyons has led Kalamazoo FC to its second-straight USL 2 Central Conference Great Lakes Division Championship.
Under Lysons' guidance the team finished with an 8-2-4 record, besting the Flint City Bucks by one point in the standings. This is just the team's second division championship in its 24-year history, with both coming under Lyons.
Kalamazoo will open the USL2 Playoffs against King Hammer FC from the Valley Division on Friday, July 22 at 5 p.m. in Des Moines, Iowa.
USL League Two is the leader in pre-professional soccer in North America.
