Western Michigan men’s basketball lost 79-60 at the hands of Southern Illinois Friday. The Broncos drop to 1-3 on the season.
WMU shot just 29.6% from the field in the contest, notably missing a handful of shots around the rim. SIUE shot 49.2% from the field and 45.2% from three in the game.
The Cougars’ Ray’Sean Taylor came into the game ranked third in the NCAA in threes attempted. He scored 30 points in the game on 11/20 shooting while making eight threes.
“You know, some of those shots he hit were tough shots,” head coach Dwayne Stephens said.
