“We have nine freshmen on the roster this year, and it’s the first chance for [the fans] to see this years team. Which is going to be a lot more exciting with the way that we play because of how much more athletic we are,” Hawkins said.
Hawkins also mentioned the 10-day trip that the team took to Europe, where they not only played and won four games, but also took trips to Normandy Beach and The Anne Frank House. These types of team trips are only allowed once every four years.
“When you get ready to take these trips you’re allowed 10 days of practice to prepare for it.
