Marshawn Kneeland Named Reese's Senior Bowl Defensive Player of the Week

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan defensive end Marshawn Kneeland has been named the Reese's Senior Bowl Defensive Player of the Week after his dominant performance in WMU's 45-21 win at Eastern Michigan on Saturday.

Kneeland finished the game with a career-high 11 tackles, along with four tackles for loss, three sacks, two quarterback hurries and a forced fumble. The Grand Rapids, Mich., native also drew a holding call in the endzone to lead to WMU's first safety of the game at the beginning of the third quarter. To wrap up the third quarter he sacked EMU quarterback Austin Smith in the endzone for the team's second safety.
