KALAMAZOO, Mich. – On Wednesday the Mid-American Conference announced that redshirt sophomore Logan Hudson of Western Michigan baseball has been named Male Scholar Athlete of the Week.
During the week of Feb. 25 through March 3 Hudson played a three-game series at South Florida, registering a staggering .556 batting average and had at least one hit in two of the three games.
In the series finale on Sunday, Hudson had a career day going 4-for-5 at the plate with a career-high six RBIs along with his second home run of the season. Hudson alone scored six of the Broncos' nine runs in game three, including a bases clearing double in the top of the ninth to highlight a four-run ninth for WMU.
