CLEVELAND – Western Michigan junior Lindsey Zieglar has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week.
Zieglar opened WMU's dual meet schedule going 2-1 in singles against Michigan and Ferris State. Against the 12th-ranked Wolverines she played at No. 1, falling to Andrea Cerdan 7-6 (1), 6-2. She rebounded on Sunday against the Bulldogs with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 1 over Agata Klack and then moved to No. 2 to pick up a 6-1, 6-2 win over Brittany Lavenant in the afternoon match.
