Western Michigan women’s basketball struggled its way to a 6-15 record (5-14 MAC) last year after losing all five starters from the 2019-20 squad.
This year, the Broncos only lost one player from the entire roster and returned all seven players that started a game.
“The theme is, let’s pick up where we left off,” said head coach Shane Clipfell. ”Where we left off, we were playing really good basketball in February and down the stretch there.”
WMU put together a three-game winning streak against Kent State, Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois in late February as the season was winding down.
