Two seasons ago, Western Michigan football was a failed two-point conversion away at Ball State from having a chance to play in the Mid-American Conference Championship game.
Last season, the Broncos held its fate in its own hands heading into the final week of the season at Northern Illinois before falling flat against a subpar Huskies team, letting the division title slip through its fingertips.
The 2019 season was the more egregious shortcoming of the two considering the Broncos had the MAC offensive and defensive players of the year on its roster and talent-wise seemed like the best team in the conference.
