KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan baseball team scored one run in the bottom of the ninth and had the game-winning run at the plate before its comeback attempt fell short in a 3-2 loss to Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon inside Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field.
Trailing 3-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth junior Connor Charping led off the inning for WMU with a walk and then later moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. With two outs redshirt junior Logan Hudson laced an RBI single to left field, scoring Charping and cutting the Falcon lead down to one.
