KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Senior pitcher Allyson Kus allowed just three hits, throwing a complete-game shutout to lead Western Michigan softball to a 6-0 win over rival Central Michigan at Fran Ebert Field.
Kus, the reigning Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Week, is 5-0 over her last five starts with a 1.17 ERA. With the win Wednesday, she improved her overall record to 11-9 on the year. It was her second shutout of the season and 13th complete game.
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth when junior Abby Stoner jump-started the Bronco offense with a two-out, two-run home run.
