CLEVELAND – For the third time this season, Western Michigan senior outside hitter Maggie King has been named the MAC West Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
King totaled 41 kills (5.13/set) on a .304 hitting percentage and tallied 44.0 points (5.50/set) in Western Michigan's two matches over the weekend. The senior added 33 digs for an average of 4.13 per set.
In a straight-set win over Miami on Friday night, King paced the Broncos with 19 kills on a .438 hitting percentage, served up a pair of aces and came one dig shy of a double-double.
