DETROIT – Former Western Michigan Director of Athletics, Kathy Beauregard, will be inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame, the group announced on Thursday.
Beauregard joins Antonio Gates, Chris Webber, Jennie Ritter, Meryl Davis, Charlie White, John Beilein and Mickey Redmond as part of the class of 2022. The class was selected by the Hall of Fame's Election Task Force and a Statewide Election Committee. They will be honored at the Sound Board Theater at MotorCity Casino Hotel on Sept. 10.
Beauregard, who was recently named the recipient of the Mid-American Conference Trailblazer Award, began her 42-year career at WMU in 1979 when she was hired as the head coach of the gymnastics program.
