KANSAS CITY – Sporting KC II announced that WMU alumni defender Jonathan Robinson officially signed an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract ahead of the 2024 season. Sporting KC II did not disclose the financial details of the contract.
The defender from Gurnee, Illinois, was a pivotal piece during the Brown and Gold's Sweet 16 run this past fall and set a superior example through his vocal leadership and play on the pitch. Robinson scored one goal and tallied 13 assists for the Brown and Gold this past season in 22 appearances (22 starts). With the help of Robinson's defensive prowess, the Broncos saw themselves with the sixth-best shutout percentage in the entire NCAA at 54.
