CLEVELAND, Ohio -- After the opening week of women's soccer action, the Mid-American Conference announced its first weekly awards this afternoon. Thanks to an impressive debut in the Brown and Gold, graduate student Jen Blitchok earned Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Beginning on Aug. 17 at Northern Kentucky, the Broncos and Norse were tied late in the contest. Blitchok used some late game heroics to help WMU begin the season 1-0, netting the game-winning goal with just over five minutes to play in the game. She tallied four shots and three on net.
