The Western Michigan football team had just blown Akron out of the water 41-0 Saturday, but coach P.J. Fleck had an announcement to make to the team.
Junior running back Jarvion Franklin had broken the Western Michigan single-game rushing record with 281 yards on 33 attempts and one touchdown.
Franklin's reaction was on-par with the kind of young man he is, Fleck said.
"The minute I announced that Jarvion had broken the record the first thing Jarvion did was hug all of his offensive linemen and get a picture with the O-line," Fleck said. "That's the way this culture and this program is designed to train people.
