Incoming Western Michigan freshman soccer defender Aidan O'Connor has been named the Michigan Gatorade Player of the year for the second consecutive season.
The award recognizes outstanding athletic excellence along with high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character on and off the field.
"We could not be happier for Aidan, or more excited to have him join our program soon," head men's soccer coach Chad Wismeman said in a press release. "To win the award in consecutive seasons is quite an accomplishment."
O'Connor comes to the WMU men's soccer roster decorated with accolades.
