In Memoriam of Muhammad Ali

He was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr, on January 17, 1942, but he was known across the world as Muhammad Ali. He died June 3, 2016 as “The Greatest.” He transformed the sport of boxing and transcended barriers, even changing the perception of African-American athletes in America. He was passionate and outspoken, as his career and persona extended beyond the ropes of the square circle, making him an icon worldwide in a variety of forums. This is a look back at the illustrious life of Muhammad Ali.

He was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1942. Cassius Clay began training for a life as a boxer at the age of 12 years old.
